    • Job Title: VP of Operations
      Location: North York (Hybrid) 

      We’re seeking a mission-driven, visionary leader to join the executive team as Vice President, Operations. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role will oversee and integrate corporate functions — Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology — to build a cohesive, efficient, and high-performing organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic, resourceful leader who can balance competing priorities, drive operational excellence, and lead transformation in a complex, mission-oriented environment. You will play a key role in shaping organizational strategy, creating efficiencies, implementing new technologies, and building a sustainable workforce model that supports long-term growth and impact.

      What You’ll Be Doing

      Strategic Leadership & Planning
      • Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership to execute the strategic plan.
      • Align Finance, HR, and IT functions to support organizational priorities and long-term objectives.
      • Develop and implement internal frameworks, policies, and metrics for performance and growth.
      • Lead change management initiatives that promote accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
      • Support organizational readiness for accreditation and external reviews.

      Board & Stakeholder Engagement
      • Act as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors and its committees (Finance, Audit, HR & IT).
      • Prepare reports and recommendations to support governance and informed decision-making.
      • Ensure transparency, compliance, and strong communication with stakeholders and funders.
      • Financial Leadership Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
      • Ensure fiscal responsibility, sustainability, and alignment with strategic goals.
      • Maintain oversight of internal controls, audits, and compliance with funder and regulatory requirements.

      Human Resources Leadership
      • Guide HR strategy including workforce planning, leadership development, and talent management.
      • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with organizational values.
      • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and EDI (Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) best practices.
      Information Technology Strategy

      • Lead the development and execution of an IT strategy supporting digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
      • Oversee technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, and vendor management. Implement enterprise tools (e.g., Zoho One, HRIS, CRM, finance systems) to improve efficiency.
      • Risk Management & Organizational Effectiveness Identify and mitigate risks across finance, people, systems, and operations.
      • Establish systems for evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement. Ensure operational readiness and accountability across departments.

      What You Need to Bring

      • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
      • CPA or equivalent professional designation strongly preferred.
      • Minimum 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in operations with oversight of Finance, HR, and IT.
      • Proven record of leading organizational transformation and performance improvement. Experience working with Boards and engaging with government agencies, funders, and community stakeholders.
      • Background in non-profit, community health, or mental health sectors is an asset.

      Skills & Attributes
      • Visionary and strategic thinker with strong operational execution.
      • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
      • Strong financial acumen and understanding of complex funding environments.
      • Proficiency with business and HR systems (e.g., Dynamics GP, Quadrant HRIS, Salesforce).
      • Knowledge of Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) and public policy is an asset.
      • Fluency in an East or Southeast Asian language (e.g., Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Cambodian) considered a strong asset.
