      Job Overview

      Our client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician (Second Shift) to join their team. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys technical challenges, and is eager to learn. This person should be self-motivated yet excel in a team environment.

      In this role, you will work alongside the Mechanical Production Team Leader to manufacture, prepare, and repair robotic system components and equipment. You will be responsible for quality control and ensuring high levels of productivity. Given the high-mix, low-volume nature of production, adaptability and a hands-on learning approach are essential for success.

      Responsibilities

      • Set up and operate manual machines for new parts and repairs.
      • Operate CNC machines while ensuring quality control using precision measurement tools to meet company specifications.
      • Assemble and disassemble robotic equipment for tasks and department projects.
      • Fabricate, assemble, and provision new parts and equipment.
      • Clean and repair damaged robotic equipment.
      • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to unique manufacturing challenges.
      • Maintain a safe and organized Machine and Fabrication Shop.
      • Cast or over-mold mechanical and electronic parts.

      Experience & Qualifications

      • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
      • Proficiency with hand tools.
      • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
      • Strong understanding of mechanical detail and assembly drawings.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to maintain machine tools.
      • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
      • Must be adaptable and quick to learn.

       

      Considered Assets (Preferred Skills)

      • Hands-on experience with CNC machining, including setup and first article completion of precision components.
      • Experience assembling electro-mechanical equipment following technical documentation.
      • Knowledge of robotics and electrical circuits.
      • Experience with Induction Brazing, Welding (MIG or TIG), or Sinker EDM processes.
      • Knowledge of epoxy/urethane resin casting.
      • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.

      Education

      • College diploma or degree in a technical or technology-related field.
