      Our client specializes in inspection and industrial services, combining innovative technologies, advanced data management, and state-of-the-art equipment. The Regional Quality Engineer ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications through the Integrated Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management System (QSHE). Reporting to the Quality & Optimization Manager – North America, this role focuses on quality management, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with teams including engineering, operations, and sales.

      Responsibilities:

      Quality Management & Process Improvement:

      • Assist in developing and implementing a QSHE Management System to ensure pipeline inspections meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
      • Deploy continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and DOE.
      • Identify and resolve process inefficiencies or bottlenecks, driving improvements with cross-functional teams.
      • Oversee quality assurance and control, conduct internal audits, and ensure adherence to industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
      • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline procedures and enhance customer satisfaction and safety.
      • Promote innovation through Innovation Management Methodologies.

      Quality Documentation & Reporting:

      • Generate quality assurance documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality reports, dashboard KPIs, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans (CAPAs).

      Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions:

      • Investigate non-conformance issues and work with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
      • Track non-conformances, analyze trends, and report on the effectiveness of corrective actions.

      Process Improvement & Compliance:

      • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend process enhancements.
      • Lead the implementation and maintenance of the QSHE Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, API, ASME, and other relevant industry standards.

      Team Leadership & Collaboration:

      • Provide guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering a quality-focused mindset.
      • Collaborate with engineering, operations, project management, and field inspection teams to achieve project goals and quality expectations.
      • Participate in APQP, project launch meetings, and provide quality-related updates, including risk assessments, audit results, and compliance status.

       

      Risk Management & Safety:

      • Conduct safety and quality audits of inspection processes to ensure a safe working environment.
      • Promote a safety-first mindset and uphold quality standards throughout pipeline inspections.

      Requirements:

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
      • Professional certification in Quality (CQE, ASQ) and Lean Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt preferred).
      • Certifications in pipeline inspection (e.g., API 1169, NACE, AWS) are an asset.

      Experience:

      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ISO Management Systems (9001, 14001, etc.) with at least 2 years in a cross-functional leadership position.
      • Experience implementing quality systems in Oil & Gas Services, Automotive, Medical, or Aerospace industries.
      • Strong knowledge of service quality standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
      • Proven experience in conducting audits, process evaluations, and root cause analysis.
      • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including API, ASME, and ISO 9001.
      • Proficiency in quality tools such as RCA, FMEA, SPC, APQP, 5S, and others.
      • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
      • Excellent project management and communication skills.
      • Ability to travel within the region as required.
