Dedicated to significantly increasing the lifetime and performance of industrial assets and installations, they have the ability to create unique packages and turnkey solutions, adding value to keep industrial assets safe and efficient. Due to rapid growth, our client is searching for experienced Project Managers for their Calgary, Alberta location. Successful project execution is key and requires effective project management. Responsibilities include reviewing project scope of work and resource requirements, participating in project budget setting, establishing execution milestones and timelines, communicating operational requirements to appropriate team members, and supporting the operational teams during the project execution phases from project award through project close-out.

      Main Responsibilities

      • Interact positively within the team to coordinate successful execution of services.
      • Ensure timely, safe, and quality execution of projects within budget.
      • Support customers in a positive and professional manner to ensure a safe, successful project, and customer satisfaction.
      • Communicate effectively with the internal team and customers in a technical and consultative manner to ensure success.
      • Monitor project progress through all phases and support the team as necessary, resolving challenges in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
      • Travel to client and project job sites to perform site visits in preparation for project execution. Communicate effectively with customers and the team in a technical and consultative manner to assess and resolve execution needs.
      • Provide regular project status reports to customers, team, and management, as required.

      Requirements

      • Minimum 5 years of successful project management experience in a technical, energy, or oil & gas related industry.
      • Minimum 4-year degree or PMP certification preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience of setting and working within project budgets.
      • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
      • Working competency with computers and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
      • Ability to use a technical, consultative communication approach with customers and team members.
      • Ability to address and overcome challenges in a professional, team-oriented approach.
      • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once.
      • Ability to travel up to 70% within North America for project site visits, operational support, customer meetings, and training.
      • Ability to travel internationally for training, up to 20%.
      • Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable. Able to work within a team or independently.
      • Possess, or be able to attain required industry certifications such as Basic Plus, TWIC card, etc.
      • Ability to work in both standing and sitting positions for several hours at a time, both indoors and in inclement weather conditions, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
