SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER (fullstack w focus on frontend)  

Hybrid –1 day a week of in office (Downtown Toronto)
Contrct to perm

WHAT YOU’LL DO IN A DAY  - 

• Your mission will be to collaborate with your project pod to swiftly get quality MVPs to market for testing
• You will be asked to tap into your creativity, contribute your thoughts and ideas to rapid prototyping exercises and participate from ground zero to potentially full launch of exciting new products
• You will have the opportunity to work across multiple platforms, languages and frameworks – you need to be passionate about learning what you don’t already know – OCR, AI and ML is at the forefront of much of the work
• Ideally you are equally as passionate about front and back end, your role could shift focus at times so an eye for design could come in handy as well
• Participation in client stakeholder communication and presentations should excite you

 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• A love for working with a diverse group, collaboration and contributing your ideas
• 7+ years of experience in technology, a passion for development and ideally you have a portfolio of some of the work you have brought to life – specifically experience developing Mobile and Web Apps, SaaS, big data and/or AI and ML powered platforms, exp in tools such as Figma, React, Python etc 
• Your track record of building successful digital products from scratch in a startup environment and your ability to produce lightweight full-stack web apps at the prototype levels speaks for itself
• Experience with architecture and design and the ability to articulate the “why” and trade-offs is critical
• You are able to leverage cloud technologies and deploy your app/prototype independently
• An ability to embrace ambiguity (the good kind) and reduce uncertainty through continual validated learning
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
