Our Client, a leading Commercial Mortgage Lender in the GTA, is looking to hire a Senior Loan Workout Officer - Real Estate Lending to join their team. Here you get to assess borrower finances and collateral values, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement workout strategies for optimal loan performance.

      We are looking for someone with experience in distressed loans, who understands Canadian real estate markets, and excels in analysis, negotiation, and communication.

      ON A GIVEN DAY, YOU WILL OVERSEE:

      Loan Restructuring and Strategy:

      • Develop and implement effective workout strategies for distressed loans.
      • Negotiate loan modifications, refinancing, or other solutions with internal stakeholders and investors.
      • Monitor and adjust implemented strategies as needed.

       Collaboration and Communication:

      • Work closely with internal teams, including finance, risk management, and real estate professionals.
      • Communicate with borrowers to assess financial situations and negotiate solutions.
      • Maintain open communication with investors.
      • Collaborate with external partners, such as legal professionals and real estate brokers.

       Loan Transaction Analysis:

      • Perform financial analysis of real estate loan transactions.
      • Evaluate market trends and economic factors.
      • Identify risks and opportunities for workout strategies.

       Regulatory Compliance:

      • Stay updated on industry regulations.
      • Ensure all solutions comply with legal standards.
      • Represent the company responsibly in the community, emphasizing environmental stewardship.

      YOUR SKILLS INCLUDE:

      • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate lending, loan workout, or related roles.
      • Strong knowledge of real estate markets, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
      • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
      • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
