Key Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Analyst, your tasks will include:

• Developing a deep understanding of our Borrowers and Investors to cater to their unique needs.
• Skillfully underwriting Extension/Renewal and Amendment packages for over 130 active loans spanning various mortgage product types, such as land loans, construction loans, servicing loans, and more.
• Collaborating closely with the Account Management Group and Funding Department to ensure timely and comprehensive Extensions and Renewals, while also meeting loan maturity deadlines.
• Setting personal goals and action plans to align with our business objectives, and showcasing your readiness to shoulder greater accountability and responsibility.
• Staying updated on industry changes and proactively identifying opportunities for improving the growth and development of assigned transactions.
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of loan transactions to deliver detailed Extensions and Renewals that positively impact our overall profitability.
• Ensuring all loans are up to date for Annual Review documentation.

Your Day-to-Day Tasks:

On a daily basis, you will:

• Analyze a variety of commercial real estate transactions, encompassing diverse sectors such as office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and land.
• Under the guidance of the Director, prepare meticulous Extension and Renewal requests with disciplined underwriting and in-depth market research.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure thorough due diligence and material consistency, while communicating with various stakeholders in the industry.
• Collaborate within the Account Management team to provide regular updates on loan maturities and Extension/Renewal status.
• Assist in the preparation and completion of Account Management reporting for investors and company stakeholders.
• Perform quantitative analysis related to real estate developments and income-producing properties.
• Conduct site inspections and engage with borrowers, property managers, and appraisers as needed.
• Assess creditworthiness and identify risks and mitigants associated with loan transactions and borrowers.
• Prepare Extension/Renewal Letters and, when required, memos and amendments for existing deal structures.
• Ensure compliance with Annual Review documentation requirements.

What You Bring:

• A post-secondary degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance, with a focus on Real Estate or Land Development.
