      Come join a leading Real Estate Investment, Property and Asset Management firm in Kitchener and oversee the accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis functions for the company's property operations.   

      You are a passionate, experienced Controller with your CPA Designation (in good standing) who thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.  You possess a strong work ethic and a “no task is too big or too small” mentality.

      ON A GIVEN DAY, YOU WILL OVERSEE:

      • Financial Accounting & Reporting
      • Corgorpate Governance
      • Management Accounting
      • Taxations
      • Project Management

      This will include:

      • Manage daily financial operations (invoicing, banking, AP, AR and general office procurement) and all record keeping
      • Complete monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts (Canada & US)
      • Prepare monthly financial statements with key company performance metrics
      • Prepare annual budgets
      • Prepare monthly forecasting of P&L and Balance sheet with recommendations for course of action
      • Assess and manage risks, help identify and strengthen existing internal controls and take corrective actions
      • Assist in identifying deficiencies and cost control
      • Prepare and analyze monthly KPI dashboard
      • Responsible for managing relevant tax filings (Corporate taxes)
      • Responsible for all corporate tax compliance” and managing external tax consultants.
      • Assist with financial and tax audits (CRA and/or external accounting firm)

      YOUR SKILLS INCLUDE:

      • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field, CPA Accredited accounting designation in good standing.
      • Minimum of 5 years hands on prior Controller experience
      • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and regulations
      • Advanced proficiency in Excel required
      • Experience in the property management or real estate industry is strongly preferred
