      The purpose of you team is to innovate and enhance the backend infrastructure, and increase the

      productivity of your engineers. You’ll be managing a team focused on maintaining and

      developing infrastructure so that it is reliable, resilient, scalable, secure, easy to operate, and cost efficient. This is a very capable team who keeps your platform running seamlessly.       • Management of a group of engineers who are operating a production platform in GCP hosting using Kubernetes. You will be both a technical leader and a people manager
      • Ensure the team is high performing, with a healthy, inclusive and collaborative culture, coach engineers on the team, sharing knowledge and collaborating on create solutions
      • Contribute to the technology strategy by guiding and leading the technical architecture. Maintain high quality standards, especially with technology, and foster a culture of long-term thinking and innovation
      • Help support and unblock the team in delivering on its goals; you will oversee the technical scoping and planning for the team, and help guide and empower the development approach within the team
      • Optimizing services across GCP services to manage costs, including right sizing and deprecating systems
      • Researching new technologies to solve tomorrow’s deployment, monitoring, and scaling needs
      • Cultivate interpersonal relationships through superior communication skills
      • Support business infrastructure to ensure service availability, including outside of business hours if needed


      • You’re passionate about DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering and building a culture of automation
      • You’ve managed a team working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc) for at least 2-4 years
      • You have experience dealing with environments that leverage container orchestration tools Kubernetes
      • You’re passionate about cost effectively managing infrastructure at scale
      • Experience building scalable and fault tolerant systems
      • 3+ years of technical operations experience, with a background in cloud-based platforms
      • Past experience successfully leading one or more DevOps (pipeline tools, operations management, etc) projects to completion through tools like Jenkins, Helm, Terraform,
      • Ability to maintain and design and/or build development and deployment systems
      • Utilize git for version control as well as supporting platforms, like Bitbucket or Github
      • Experience with databases of many different flavors, including relational and non-relational
      • Proficiency with scripting and/or programming languages; Bash, Python, and Golang preferred
      • Comfortable in a fast-paced development environment
      • A passion for not only company vision and team goals, but building on our silo-free culture programs
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required


      • Experience migrating from Data Centers to Cloud based solutions, and migrating solutions from other cloud providers
      • You understand DevOps as a culture and practice in organizations of our size or larger

      You have actively managed hosting costs at scale at multiple companies
