      We’re looking for a Senior Manager, IT Audit, who is ready to do something important and able to effect change.  Our client is a Canadian financial institution, and a major player in numerous market segments. This bank is on a transformational journey with a clear vision for where they want to go, and the type of people that will help them get there.  

      We’re considering applicants based in Toronto or Montreal - our client has offices in both cities.

      Supporting the AVP, IT Audit, your work would include conducting risk-based IT audit assessments of varying complexity, leading and providing mentorship for a team of smart Senior Auditors.  In addition to digital banking, the role covers all areas of IT audit from IT applications, Infrastructure Projects, and ITGC regulatory certification testing.  Every day will be different and challenging, and you will get to be part of a transformation, and to learn from many different parts of the organization.

      You have strong knowledge of core IT processes (e.g. application development, change management, logical & information security, networking, vulnerability & patch management, business continuity and computer operations) and can provide advice on technology controls to Internal Audit and the business.  You also have an undergraduate degree with a professional designation (CISA, CISM, CISSP) and around 8 years of progressive IT management or audit experience in organizations with large-scale computing environments. You’re familiar with CobiT, NIST, and ISO frameworks. You have experience using software tools, office applications and data extraction and manipulation applications such as ACL, or general purpose SQL tools. You have solid knowledge of technology processes and operations especially threat management, digital banking, vulnerability and patch management.

      Above all, you’re great at what you do.  You understand how systems support the business and help others around you see the value of a good audit. You have an unusual depth, you don’t just check-the-box, you understand why you’re checking the box and why it’s important.  You’re a strong communicator and comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization.  You know how to keep your team and projects moving forward, develop ideas and add value with each interaction.
