      You are a people pleaser at heart, love to help wherever you can and have a desire to learn new things and challenge yourself. As the Operations Support Analyst you will collaborate with your team each day to accomplish tasks and implement best practices.

      WHAT YOU’LL DO IN A DAY 

      • Work with team on pre-approvals, enter shipping info into the order management system
      • Monitoring shipment progress via various sea and rail web portals, freight forwarders and steamship lines and truckers
      • Maintaining/updating assigned shipments on Logistics Management sheet
      • Updating customers (warehouses) and team on issues with aim towards quick logistics resolution
      • Create CRN packages, forward necessary requests for certification, collection of documentation, vetting of invoicing “ok to pay” and creation of debt memos for mills
      • Check MTRs to ensure they conform to industry standards & special customer requirements
      • Verify third party logistics and other service provider invoices, “ok to pay” and voucher creation
      • Issue statements and general A/R follow up including creation of special charge invoices
      • Non conformance report resolution—investigation, issuance of credits, debits, invoices
      • Compiling, verification, and submission of import clearance documents to our US and CAD customs brokers

      Additionally

      • Basic backup re clerical and admin during vacation or work overflow occasions
      • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, assist with knowledge and information management using our enterprise software (Epicor Prophet 21) and other resources

      WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • 2-5yrs of relevant work experience in accounting (AR/AP) and operations support
      • High degree of accuracy
      • Strong interpersonal skills
      • Intermediate-Advanced MS Office
      • Some post-secondary education preferred
      • NICE TO HAVE – exposure to logistics and customs practices
