      We are seeking an Accounting Manager with 5+ years relevant experience to become a member of our dynamic Unique Ability Team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in accounting fundamentals, a keen interest in planning, process and time management, has a creative mindset and takes a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.


      • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
        • cost allocations
        • accounts payable/receivable
        • general ledger
        • capital assets reconciliations
        • month and year-end process
        • financial analysis, reporting and forecasting
        • ensure key financial processes are documented
        • provide recommendations and improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
      • Contribute to ongoing operational improvement by continually reviewing organization processes & procedures and, provide input & guidance on optimizing operational functions
      • Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
      • Prepare and complete the initial review of monthly internal financial statements, analyze variances, communicate findings and suggest improvements
      • Responsible for the balance sheet accounts reconciliation on a monthly basis
      • Provide direction to Accounting staff to maximize team and individual performance through consistent coaching, development and feedback
      • Assign, communicate, monitor, as well as hold self and team accountable to achieving set goals
      • Ensure consistent adherence to accounting standards, principles, policies and procedures
      • Various other projects and ad hoc analysis as required


      • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
      •   5+ years’ accounting experience in a similar role plus CPA designation
      • Ability to organize ideas and information logically and sequentially with a strong follow through for completion
      • Strong knowledge of GAAP requirements
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel
      • Ability to develop budget, planning and communication of impact
      • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, multi-task, complete tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills. An ability to maintain a broad perspective and to foster and maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels
      • Ability to provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
      • Ability to remain calm and use sound judgement and fairness in conflict resolution
      • High attention to detail and accuracy
      • Experience working in technology environment would be an asset.
